 At Fabulous Farm Sales'
  'Romantic Country' Shop
You will find a collection that is hard to define

Although our aesthetic ranges from rustic elegance to downright splintered, our goal is to sell things we would happily keep for ourselves if we had bigger houses (or two).
Many of our items are beautiful old things, well-made,
but with a patina that only comes from being loved or handled too much, which is a look we love.
Our shop is part museum (with a wardrobe full of old beautiful wedding gowns), antique shop, country farm store,  boutique with classic or vintage clothes/accessories: all with a pinch of whimsy and romance thrown in for good measure.

These time-worn beauties add texture and interest to any décor, so add to your collection or start a new one.
Find a gift for yourself or someone special.

No Such Thing as Too Many Dishes

Do you find yourself saying "I have too many dishes! I don't need any more!"   We all say it but few of us hoarders collectors really think that it's true. It sounds good until you see a darling little dish (or two) somewhere in your travels and scoop it up without a second thought.  I have a friend with many dearly~cherished sets of china.  She once confided to me that they could have been named as correspondents in her divorce proceedings!  But darlings! She was an antiques dealer after all!

We have a real passion-for-porcelain at our shop. And I personally have an, um,  intervention-worthy passion-for-porcelain-platters.

Some people who are close to me have even made comments regarding this little collection, sometimes brazenly suggesting that it might be getting a little out of hand...

Now I ask you, who could possibly not love a platter?

But I digress..

My motto is "more good times!"  If you've got 'em, use 'em!
Get them out of the cupboard
Why hide those beauties?

Stack them up like paper plates!

Throw a party. Set up the buffet line!

Al fresco all the time ...

...on the porch..

the beach at water's edge...

or on the sand....

Of course you WILL get the "good dishes" out this Spring,

                                                            For a bridal shower?

                                            Easter brunch? In your greenhouse?

                                                Or Mother's Day breakfast?

                           coffee or tea...

Piled in a cupboard in the kitchen: so easy to grab

For breakfast cereal or cafe au lait

Pile up your jewelry

and organize it in a drawer

Arrange them on the wall

Any mishaps with daily use?  Make a chandelier!

..As a back drop in an herb garden..

Or forefront as a garden border...

                                                         Mosaic stepping stones

                                                                 Or tabletop

                                                        Shard fridge magnets

Soap dish made from old figurine, egg cup and saucer
'Fascinating!'  you say?        Hang on!       It gets better!

Build a little house with all your odd bits!  Erin could make this!
She has plenty of room on her farm!

Need some exercise after dinner?  Play frisbee!      And finally ....

Still think you want to pare down?  Get some skeet shooters together!

Yes I can see it too!  Excellent idea for a gathering before the big day!
And make room for all those new wedding gifts!
PULL!

(Husband shooting a platter)

Remember:  Your dishes, your party!

Happy  Easter!!
